TexQuest Program

TexQuest is a statewide digital resources program that provides anytime, anywhere access to high quality, authoritative digital resources to all educators, students, and students' immediate families in Texas K-12 public schools and open enrollment charter schools Supported, in part, by appropriations from the Texas State Legislature, Texas districts pay a small per student participation fee to gain access to TexQuest resources from the providers listed on this page.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission administers all aspects of the TexQuest program and is responsible for selection and coordination of all TexQuest resources, as well as district invoicing.
Education Service Center, Region 20 serves as the TexQuest Support Center and is responsible for help desk, technical assistance, outreach, communication, and training to support the program.

Provider: Adam Matthew Digital

Participating districts will have access to two digitized collections of primary source materials from Adam Matthew DigitalThe American West and American Indian Histories and Cultures

 

Provider: Britannica

Britannica Online School Edition includes encyclopedia articles, images, and videos arranged in elementary, middle, and high school leveled online encyclopedias, as well as Britannica Escolar. Britannica E-Stax includes 4 collections of non-fiction eBooks for K-8.

 

Provider: EBSCO

EBSCO provides 5 different collections of downloadable eBooks that can also be read online.

 

Provider: Gale/Cengage Learning

Gale/Cengage Learning: Articles from magazines, newspapers, academic journals, and reference books, as well as videos, images, and audio files in resources targeting elementary, middle, and high school. Full-text nonfiction eBooks and magazines for K-8; Reference Ebooks for secondary.
 

Provider: ProQuest SIRS

SIRS Discoverer informs K-8 students with vetted, age-appropriate articles, books, maps, multimedia, images and issues that align to core subjects.

TeachingBooks.net

TeachingBooks.net is a K–12 resource connecting cross curricular literacy materials to the titles used in classrooms and libraries, including resources to support ELL students and STEAM instruction.
