Changes to Gale Literary Sources (12/1/16)

Gale Adds LitFinder Resource; Gale Literary Resources Replaces Artemis

Gale has totally revamped their TexQuest literary resource offerings. Gale Literary Resources has replaced Artemis. Users have automatically been redirected. Gale Literary Resources gives TexQuest users access to Scribner Writers Series, Twayne's Authors, Literature Resource Center, and a new resource Gale's LitFinder. Litfinder has an extensive collection of full text  poems, short stories, essays and plays - even novels; these works represent more than 80,000 authors, 660 nationalities and virtually every time period. Watch this video for more information about Gale's Literary resources.

Gale Upgrades InfoTrac and One File Resources (3/30/16)

TexQuest users will see changes to Gale OneFile and InfoTrac resources starting in April. With the success of Google functionality and plans for Office Integration, users will no longer be able to save files and searches to a Gale folder to access later.

On April 28, 2016:

  • Existing users will be able to access their Saved Documents via My Account: My Folder. New accounts cannot be created.
  • New documents saved to My Folder will be cleared when a session ends and will not be committed to an existing My Account for retrieval later.
  • New searches cannot be saved, but Saved Searches will be accessible until Summer 2016.
  • Gale expects to fully retire the Gale My Account function in  Summer 2016 (specific date to be communicated later).

Additional information about this change, and upgrades to InfoTrac and OneFile can be accessed here.
