On December 16, 2022, Gale is launching topic pages focused on literary topics, works, and authors to the Gale Literature cross search. In addition to providing a guided approach to view and access hubs of content, it includes:

  • An overview document selected from one of Gale’s Literature Criticism series
  • Connection to related topic pages
  • Access to literature criticism, biographies, primary sources, and more, all drawn from your Gale Literature holdings.

These new pages can be found via the Topic Browse feature and will also surface in users’ general search.  Users can bookmark their favorite pages in LibGuides, their institution’s learning management system (LMS), and other course tools for direct, easy access.

The topic pages are being added to Gale Literature cross-search as a module and will appear as GLS-PRTL (Gale Literature Cross-Search Portals) in usage reporting.

No action is needed on your end to gain access to the new pages. These updates will go live on December 16, and users will be able to explore right away.
