The new LearningExpress Usage Reports Site uses QuickSight Dashboard technology to give platform administrators a better view into registrations, users, logins, searches and resources accessed by library users over time.
What data can librarians see?
Information is now represented visually through a variety of interactive graphs and charts. This information includes:
- Total page hits
- New user registrations
- Registrations/logins over time (dual axis chart)
- Resource usage, including:
- Total number of resources saved (tests, tutorials, microlessons, computer courses, flashcards, e-books, and articles)
- Number of times each resource is accessed in descending order (bar graph)
- Number of completed computer courses
- Top 15 most-used resources in descending order
- Top 3 resources most searched for by keyword
How can librarians use this data?
Librarians can use LearningExpress usage data to learn more about the needs of their communities. They will gain insights into which LearningExpress resources are most popular and which resources may need extra promotion. Our LearningExpress Promotion Kits on EBSCO Connect contain bookmarks, handouts, posters and social media posts to help libraries spread the word about LearningExpress and its unique content.
Is training available?
Yes! To learn more, register for our 2 p.m. ET training session on Dec. 12, 2022. A recording will be provided to all registrants.

On December 16, 2022, Gale is launching topic pages focused on literary topics, works, and authors to the Gale Literature cross search. In addition to providing a guided approach to view and access hubs of content, it includes:
These new pages can be found via the Topic Browse feature and will also surface in users’ general search. Users can bookmark their favorite pages in LibGuides, their institution’s learning management system (LMS), and other course tools for direct, easy access.
The topic pages are being added to Gale Literature cross-search as a module and will appear as GLS-PRTL (Gale Literature Cross-Search Portals) in usage reporting.
No action is needed on your end to gain access to the new pages. These updates will go live on December 16, and users will be able to explore right away.
